Maximizing industrial real estate efficiency
There is a growing clamour from some of the large political parties in the Netherlands to impose harsher regulations on new, large scale logistics developments. This is particularly evident in provinces with a relatively large stock of logistics properties.
Savills’ research leads us to believe that one solution to the tensions over industrial land use, is to use existing industrial plots more efficiently. Redeveloping existing industrial real estate can, consequently, increase the availability of industrial space. Savills expects this would provide a more practical and sustainable solution for meeting the growing demand for industrial real estate and contribute to the long term benefit of the Dutch economy.
